District 20 was formed in March 2016 after the split from District 18. The Strategic Plan of is District 20 is to help each young man make ethical and moral choices in their lives by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. We achieve this by teaching our volunteer leaders the eight methods of scouting.

The methods of Scouting include:

1. The ideals
2. The patrol method
3. The outdoors
4. Advancement
5. Association with adults
6. personal growth
7. Leadership development
8. The uniform

Each of these methods and ideals if properly implemented allow scouts to be successful, run a great program, and most importantly have fun.

    • Registration for the Pow Wow should be live in the next week. Locations are being finalized now. Make sure you follow us on Facebook. We will post a link when registration goes live. Thanks.

    • Location for the Pow Wow is still being finalized. As soon as this is completed then registration will open. You can find additional information on our calendar of events page for merit badges being offered. District 20 will be assigned to building number two, but you could potentially sign up a scout for either building.

      • Is pow wow registration open? It’s been very quite. We have a troop full of kids ready to register but I can’t find any updated info on registration.

      • We just received word from Council today that the registration will be live tomorrow. As soon as it is live we will post it on the website and Facebook. We will also send an email out to those on the District email list. We currently don’t have an email list for District 20 but will have it available at Round Table. If you are on the old District 18 email list you will get an email for registration.

  1. When exactly does round table start? I was told 7:30-8:30, however under round table it says break outs at 8 pm. Is that when breakouts start and the flag ceremony etc. is still at 7:30. Can you please clarify, I am confused.

    • Thanks Tracie for your question. Currently Round Table includes a Cub Scout opening at 7:30pm with breakouts for all families of scouting at 8pm. However, this will be changing beginning in January 2017. Beginning in January, the District will meet the fourth Thursday of the month at 7pm. There will also be a new location, 12877 S 4570 W. This is the LDS church building just south of the Maverick gas station on 12600 S. We hope to see you there.
